Integration
Functions include:
- Plan, direct, control, and coordinate all activities of assigned technical area.
- Provide staff assistance to the Director of the parent organization and other directors relative to the overall mission.
- Provide the focal point for coordination of program plans with other major subordinate commands and DOD agencies in assigned technical areas.
- Perform overall management, scheduling, priorities and serve as the focal point for all research and development of weapons systems and integration of those systems onto defense platforms.
- Provide technical assistance to project/special system managers and other directorates for those functions involving technology in assigned areas.
- Perform analysis and evaluation of special technology areas related to weapon systems as required.
- Manage and coordinate all activities relating to weapons system structure, platform/weapons integration, materials, warheads, fuzing, active protection, counter active protection, insensitive munitions and propulsion technology.
